Caleigh's Prints

Cheryl's Project
Santa Rosa, CA

Cheryl found out about this project through social media and gave me several blue ceramic pieces that she collected from her home in Fountaingrove. The remnants included a baby hand print done in clay that belonged to her daughter Caliegh, who is now in college. As I was putting the pieces together, it was incredible to discover a footprint as well!

Alicia's Project

Alicia's Project: Fountaingrove, Santa Rosa, CA

11" x 14"

This project began when my boss Alicia showed me pictures of her house that burned down on October 9, 2017 in the North Bay Firestorms. I already make art using mosaics so when I saw the porcelain remnants I knew that we could salvage something from the devastation. So, we hopped in the car and collected various pieces of ceramics out of the ashes that she had collected from her travels all over the world.

This project is growing into a community effort with a workshop planned in February for a group of Coffey Park residents who lost homes and would like to make something for themselves. Discussions about having more community workshops in the Spring and Summer of 2018 are also in progress. Thank you to the Graton Community Center for hosting the workshop in February!

I am currently working on items for dozens of other residents who have lost homes and have begun to network with other mosaic artists who will help as well.

Please email me at tawnyalively@gmail.com if you are interested in using this service or donating money, time, talent or materials.  This is a non-profit endeavor.

Thank you!
